About Me
Patricia Lim is a visual journalist based in Austin, Texas. She immigrated from the Philippines to Long Island, New York as a teenager. Before moving to Texas to study journalism at the University of Texas at Austin, she studied at Nassau Community College and served as the Vice President of Student Government.
Navigating through the challenges of language when she first arrived in the U.S., Patricia discovered the profound impact of photography and videography.
Patricia focuses her work in capturing Asian-American communities, culture, and underserved communities.
Outside of journalism, Patricia loves to travel with her husband and hike with her dog. She was a competitive Taekwondo athlete for 22 years. She has ran the New York Marathon and Austin marathon before exploring the world of Muay Thai. She carries her athletic discipline, perseverance, and grit into her journalism.
